President’s Message
It is my privilege to welcome you to the Sri Lanka Child Neurology Association (SLCNA), the apex professional body in Sri Lanka committed to advancing the highest standards of care for children and young people with neurological disorders.
Our vision is to promote best clinical practice in paediatric neurology, ensuring that every child has access to timely, evidence-based, compassionate and equitable neurological care. We strive to strengthen clinical standards, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise among professionals involved in the care of children with neurological disorders.
Collaborative research remains a key priority of the SLCNA. By developing national and international research partnerships, we aim to generate evidence relevant to our population, improve clinical practice, and contribute to the global understanding of childhood neurological disorders.
We are committed to training and professional development, supporting paediatricians, neurologists, trainees and allied health professionals through educational programmes, workshops and conferences across the country. We also aim to strengthen opportunities for fellowship and advanced training, nurturing the next generation of paediatric neurologists.
Through advocacy, the SLCNA seeks to raise awareness of childhood neurological disorders and promote policies and services that address the needs of children and their families.
Together, through collaboration, innovation and shared commitment, we aspire to build a stronger, equitable and sustainable paediatric neurology service, improving outcomes and quality of life for every child living with a neurological disorder in Sri Lanka.
